"Rock the Day" National School Lunch Week 2017

A Rockin' Texas National School Lunch Week 2017
This year, the Texas Department of Agriculture's theme for National School Lunch Week (NSLW) is "Rock the Day with a Healthy School Lunch!" TDA's NSLW campaign goal is always to challenge students and staff to try new foods offered in the cafeteria. TDA, with help from Texas schools, wants to raise student awareness about the importance of eating a healthy school lunch during NSLW and every day. So encourage your students to join their bandmates and enjoy a healthy school lunch so they can have the energy and charisma to put on a great show for the rest of the school year!

Practice Lockdown Scheduled Today 9/22/17

Parents/Guardians:
In order to help prepare our students and staff for emergencies and unexpected occurrences, we will be having a PRACTICE lockdown at 1:00 p.m. at Sullivan Elementary. Practice means being prepared so we know what to do in case of emergencies. Also, please be aware that during a lockdown, no one is allowed to enter the building or to leave the building.

We have also invited our school district police to assist by providing feedback on our drill and give suggestions to improve our practice to help keep your child safe.

Con el fin de ayudar a preparar a nuestros estudiantes y personal para emergencias y eventos inesperados, tendremos un bloqueo de PRACTICA (“lockdown”) a las 1:00 p.m. en la Escuela Primaria Sullivan. La práctica significa estar preparados para saber qué hacer en caso de emergencias. También, tenga en cuenta que durante un “lockdown”, nadie está autorizado a entrar en el edificio o salir del edificio.

También hemos invitado a la policía del distrito escolar a que nos ayude proporcionando comentarios sobre nuestro ejercicio y ofreciendo sugerencias para mejorar nuestra práctica para ayudar a mantener a su hijo seguro.
